KTWV 94.7 THE WAVE’s Promotions Department is recruiting INTERNS!

THE WAVE’s Promotions Department Internship Program provides a professional and educational experience as it exposes interns to various facets of the radio industry. In addition to an overall view of the radio industry from within, our department emphasizes creating and executing promotions and building brand awareness for the radio station.

Interns are expected to interact with listeners, talent, clients and performance venues. They act as a liaison between THE WAVE and the general public as a station promotional representative. Ideal intern candidates will be energetic, outgoing, fun, hard working, well organized and interact well with people.

Interns attend regularly scheduled informational meetings, as well as maintain ongoing promotional endeavors, perform data entry, conduct Internet research projects and much more. They are also responsible for assisting in the overall event process from creation through execution and follow up.  THE WAVE encourages teamwork and leadership while providing an educational experience for students with a passionate interest for the radio industry.

Interns at THE WAVE must receive college credit and will receive no other compensation. Must show proof of enrollment in college internship program.

Interns must be able to commute to the radio station located on the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles. Schedules vary and will include some weekends (to work at events).
